Just a few weeks ago the DS gluten free team travelled down to London to take part in the 2010 Allergy and Gluten Free show.

Over 8000 people came from far and wide to London; it was such a great turn out! Our stand was situated near the entrance of the main hall, stand 37. The team were kept busy cooking the new gluten and wheat free Cornish slices and the margherita pizzas, we were also sampling the brown and white ciabatta rolls along with the sweet breakfast rolls, a tasty way to start the day! Throughout the weekend our home economist Gill hosted four gluten free cookery demonstrations each day, mouths watered watching Gill make the smoked salmon toasts, spinach, ricotta and sundried tomato quiche and speedy chocolate profiteroles using ds Yorkshire puddings! All our recipes are gluten and wheat free of course so they will be suitable for anyone who is diagnosed with Coeliac disease or suffering a gluten and wheat allergy or intolerance.

As always it was a fantastic way to speak to the consumers, answering any questions and meeting new people! It was lovely to hear about people’s favourite gluten and wheat free products, recipes and tips!
