The 21st November marked the last gluten free Big Event of the year for DS gluten free and our sister brands Glutafin and TRUfree. As always with our big gluten free events we had two sessions taking place, a morning session between 10am and 12:30 pm where we were greeted by an impressive175 attendees and an afternoon session between 2pm and 4:30pm which didn’t disappoint with 167 people!


A huge thank you to everyone that came from far and wide, it was great to meet so many of you and hear all of your comments about our gluten free foods. On the DS gluten free stand, attendees sampled our DS Cornish Slices, DS Sausage Rolls, DS Garlic Tear and Share Bread and jam tarts made using our gluten free shortcrust pastry. We had some fantastic feedback about our gluten free frozen foods, lots of people hadn’t tried our gluten free Sausage Rolls before and many people were delighted that they could purchase a gluten free ready to roll pastry, as making gluten free pastry can be a challenge!



Our sister brands, TRUfree and Glutafin didn’t disappoint either with a range of tasty gluten free foods for people to try. TRUfree had their gluten free Mince Pies available over the Christmas period and Glutafin were sampling their new gluten free fresh bread.


After everyone had tried our tasty gluten free foods, they attended a presentation by Jacqui, an expert Dietitian. She offered information and advice on living with Coeliac Disease and other intolerances and gave people in the audience the opportunity to ask their questions and receive expert one to one advice on gluten free living. This was followed by a cookery demonstration from an expert gluten free baker who created a variety of tasty gluten free recipes using the Glutafin Multipurpose White Mix including mini pizzas, spinach and ricotta tartlets, white chocolate and cranberry cookies, Christmas cake and a walnut and onion bread machine loaf!

As people left, they were given a free goody bag to take away containing products from Glutafin, information on where to buy DS & TRUfree products, the winter edition of DS Discover magazine and money off coupons.
