This year's Coeliac Awareness Week theme is "The Gluten Free Challenge" with the aim to raise awareness of the gluten free diet and living withcoeliac disease. Coeliac UK also want to make clear to the catering industry that gluten free food is in high demand so that they can provide improved choice for those on the gluten free diet.




The Allergy and Gluten Free Show 6-8th May was where DS-gluten free decided to raise awareness and money for Coeliac UK, Selling goody bags which included the new issue of DS Discover Magazine, DS-gluten free Brown and White Ciabatta Rolls, Trufree Pretzels and DS and Trufree range leaflets and money off coupons for the sum of £3, with half of the profits going towards the chairty, DS-gluten free managed to raise £850. So a big thank you to everyone who purchased a goody bag.






To raise awareness of the gluten free diet and Coeliac Disease Coeliac UK also suggested people could;

• Ask friends and family to follow a gluten free diet for a week.
• Get your offce to go for a gluten free lunch.
• Hold "Come Dine with Me" gluten free dinner parties with friends and take it in turns to host.
• Eat out with friends and family and ask for gluten free options to increase demand.
